I’m the type of person who is energised by learning something new every day.
Working at Scott Wealth while I'm still studying gives me an edge with my uni studies – I get to apply what I'm learning in real life, and the practical experience gives me insights I can’t get from textbooks.
I volunteer with two groups I really care about. At VacSeen Project, I help distribute vaccines to the homeless and disadvantaged by helping patients fill out administration forms. I also prepare healthy dinners for Brisbane homeless shelters with Dig In Kitchen.
I tend to take on things that push me a bit - last year I hiked the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Japan, which was both beautiful and pretty tough going! Back in high school, I played the oboe up to AMEB Grade 6. Anyone who's tried the oboe knows it's not the easiest instrument to pick up, but all those practice hours definitely taught me about sticking with things.
Qualifications + Credentials.
Currently studying the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Hons.) majoring in Finance and Business Analytics
In the hot seat with Sophia.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be? Why?
Warren Buffett- one of the most successful investors of all time. His approach to business—focused on patience, discipline, and lifelong learning—really resonates with me. I’d love to hear about his experiences and the lessons he’s learned throughout his career. That kind of firsthand wisdom would be incredible for someone like me who's starting out in finance.
What's your favourite quote?
"I can, and I will".
What was your first job and what did it teach you?
As soon as I turned 14, I got my first job at McDonalds. It really helped to be able to speak to people with confidence and encouraged me to be independent.
What book changed your perspective on money or life?
Helgoland by Carlo Rovelli is a book focused on Quantum mechanics, which changed my perspective on life and the strange yet intriguing ways that the world around us works. I learned concepts like the wave-particle duality, time dilation and space-time as a gravitational field.
What’s your go to karaoke song?
Anything by Beyonce or Nicki Minaj.
If you could live in any city in the world for a year, where would it be and why?
I visited Japan last year and would love to go to Tokyo for a year. The food there is amazing, and there's something to see on every street corner.
